Engineering Technician PSGS-032 Dover, NH Position Description: Develop and revise PMS documentation as requested by customer, based on Fleet feedback or other requirements.

Education: Must be a high school graduate. A Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree is highly desired. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: At least five years of Naval Shipyard, SUBMEPP, or Active Duty Navy experience in Hull, Mechanical & Electrical and/or Combat Systems is required. Detailed knowledge of submarine systems, well-developed computer skills and outstanding attention to detail is a requirement. Desire a candidate with specialized experience in the use, maintenance or revision of Navy maintenance documentation. US Citizenship is required. IT Analyst - Submit Resume
IT Analyst PSGS-002 Alexandria, VA Position Description: Position will report to the NAVSEA Program Manager for Naval Facility Programs. This position will work on more than one program and provide IT and analysis support to various project managers. On the NAVSEA facilities program the candidate will be responsible for assisting in the installation and ongoing operations of the Computer Facility Management System (CFMS). This system is not yet in place and will be installed, customized, and supported under the initial tasking. The system will be made up of hardware and software, including operating system software, database software, and the overall network for the CFMS. In addition, the candidate must become proficient using the CFMS program and other commercial software analytical tools. The responsible candidate will work with clients to perform requirements analysis on software and hardware requirements, field the application into an enterprise, and support ongoing operations and maintenance. The successful candidate must have a varied understanding of IT hardware and software systems. They must be an IT ‘generalist’ rather than a specialist to be able to successfully meet the needs of the program. This candidate will work closely with several non-technical mangers to ensure all technical requirements are understood, communicated, and met. This candidate will work to ensure proper administration of the server and provide troubleshooting services to approximately 6 clients. Also required will be the ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot HW and SW for the system servers and client workstations. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written communications. This job will require telephone and in person contact with a variety of users and data providers, as well as preparation and delivery of presentations to participants.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related program, or equivalent experience is required. Desired, but not required are Facility Management Training and MRO Maximo Software Training. Qualified candidate must possess a proficient knowledge of the MS Office 2000 Suite including MS Access. Must be proficient with Windows NT and Windows 2000 platforms. Understanding of SQL Server and Oracle DBMS systems is required. Must have the ability to field a COTS web application and customize the application to clients needs. Must have proficient use of web development and web fielding tools. Must have experience with DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, Access) and integration of these DBMS systems into COTS products. Submarine Engineer - Submit Resume
Position Description: Provide professional programmatic and technical support services o the PMS 450 VIRGINIA Class Submarine Program. Assist senior level engineers and project managers in the acquisition, development, certification, maintenance, and repair of Deep Submergence systems. Responsibilities will include becoming intimately familiar with Deep Submergence Systems and their Specifications and Requirements for construction, certification, and maintenance. Further, employee will be charged to support various NAVSEA activities in their daily duties and in the carrying out of the Navy’s mission. These tasks will involve technical engineering, budget reviews, tasking prioritization, and schedule performance evaluation.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or 10+ years of directly related experience is required. An E7 or above is desired. Candidate must have basic knowledge of submarines and submarine systems. Knowledge of operation, maintenance, repair, testing and certification requirements for submarine systems, Deep Submergence Systems. Must possess positive communication skills and the ability to handle multiple unrelated tasks simultaneously. Hands on experience, as an engineer or technician abroad submarines or a related activity such as a shipyard or depot is desirable. Management and coordination of design agents, shipbuilders, Navy participants, and other acquisition contractors is a plus.
